Products spending without converting alert
Find the Shopping and Performance Max products that cost money without converting.
In a large catalog a handful of products can take a real share of the budget without ever selling. This alert finds them and emails you a list, most expensive first.
How it decides
Each run reads what your Shopping and Performance Max campaigns spent per product over your chosen date range, ending yesterday. A product is reported when it meets both of these:
- It cost at least the Minimum cost you set, in the account currency.
- It brought in no conversions at all. A fraction of a conversion counts as a conversion.
Minimum clicks comes on top of that, so a product with one or two expensive clicks is not reported.
A product is judged on its total across every campaign that advertised it. A product that sold in one campaign is not reported, even if another campaign spent on it without a sale.
What you get
The run report lists each product with its title, ID, cost, clicks and the campaigns that spent on it. You get an email when a product shows up that was not in the last alert, so a product that keeps bleeding does not email you every day.
The alert does not change your account. To stop advertising a product, exclude it in Google Ads, for example with a custom label and a listing group filter.
Settings
Filters restricts the alert to campaigns whose name contains some text. Leave it empty to include every Shopping and Performance Max campaign.
Date range sets how many days of product history each run reads.
Thresholds holds the minimum cost and the minimum clicks. A good minimum cost is about what you are willing to pay for one sale.
