# Compare Lists Tool

> Analyse two lists of search terms (or any text items) to identify overlaps, differences and unique elements.

When you enter two lists, the tool automatically compares them and generates structured outputs,
giving you a clear overview of how your lists relate to each other.

## What it generates

- **Unique in List 1**: terms that only appear in the first list.
- **Unique in List 2**: terms that only appear in the second list.
- **In Both Lists**: the intersection, terms appearing in both lists.
- **All Unique Items**: every item that appears in only one of the two lists.
- **All Items (Deduplicated)**: a complete combined list without repeated values.

## Options and features

The tool includes several filters and sorting options to help you structure your output:

- **Case sensitivity**: compare terms exactly as written.
- **Alphabetical sorting**: sort results from A to Z.
- **Length sorting**: order items by word or phrase length.
- **Copy results**: copy the active result list with one click to paste into other tools.

## When to use it

The Compare Lists Tool is ideal for cleaning up keyword lists before uploading into ad platforms,
comparing historic vs. new search terms, understanding overlaps between campaigns or ad groups,
preparing negative keyword structures and auditing client keyword lists. It's a simple but powerful
utility to keep your search structures clean and efficient.
